Objects

The State Library of Victoria's holdings include many objects brought in as part of general collection donations to the special collections. Many of these items provide interesting background to the lives of individuals during wartime. World War II bomber pilot Dereck French, for example, donated his correspondence along with several items that he carried while conducting air raids over Europe, such as escape money and a button compass.
